Bioland is the leading organic agricultural association in Germany. Bioland farms are based on cyclical operations - without synthetic pesticides or easily-soluble nitrogen fertilisers. Animals are well fed and kept under appropriate conditions, and food is processed gently. This enables the production of food in an environmentally-compatible and sustained manner. 

Demeter stands for products farmed in a biologically-dynamic manner, based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. Using subtle, home-made preparations comprising manure, medicinal plants and minerals, the soil fertility in biologically-dynamic farming is promoted in a sustained manner allowing the characteristic aroma of the food to develop in full.

The use of the organic seal is aligned towards the criteria of the EU eco-regulation which also specifies the prohibition of radiation of organic food and the use of genetically manipulated organisms, feeding using ecologically-produced feed without adding antibiotics and growth promoters.

Naturland promotes ecological farming all over the world and is one of the largest ecological agricultural associations with more than 46,000 farmers. As a future-oriented association, ecological competence and social responsibility go hand in hand for Naturland. Naturland farmers and processors work to the highest ecological standards which are more stringent than those of the organic seal. They produce high-quality foods without gene technology - for the protections ot the environment and consumers. Naturland is also active far beyond the area of food production, e. g. in the areas of forest utilisation, textile manufacturing and cosmetics.
