It all began in 1928 with a passion for a very special medicinal plant and a great deal of dedication. Nearly 100 years later, Speick Naturkosmetik is synonymous with gentle, natural body care products in which—as always, and exclusively worldwide—the inimitable extract of the high-Alpine Speick plant continues to unleash its unique effects.

Making the ingredients of the centuries-old medicinal plant Speick available for human use was what drove our company’s founder, Walter Rau—this motivation remains the guiding principle of everything we do and inspires us every day.

Today, we look back on a journey that has taken us from an anthroposophically oriented soap manufacturer to a modern cosmetics company. Always essential to our quality: our sole company location in the Stuttgart region.

The Speick Medicinal Plant

Speick products contain—exclusively worldwide—the unique Speick extract, which has been certified as a controlled organic wild harvest (kbW) since 2003. Speick has been valued for centuries for its unique effects. This small, unassuming plant is protected by law and is cultivated in the Carinthian Alps (Nockberge Biosphere Reserve) as part of a nature conservation project; it is lovingly hand-harvested exclusively for our Speick products.

Our Products

It all began with Speick soap—today, Speick Natural Cosmetics offers the Speick Original and Speick Natural Aktiv lines, as well as Speick Men and Speick Men Active, Speick Thermal Sensitive, Speick PURE, and Speick SUN. All products bearing the Speick name contain extract from the Speick plant—making each one unique in its own right.

Our Made by Speick line also offers a diverse collection, including some seasonal specialty care products.
