Onions XXL

The exact origin of the onion is very controversial. However, it is known that the onion was cultivated by the Romans, Egyptians and Greeks.
The flavour of onions varies depending on the variety and method of preparation. Raw, they are relatively pungent and very flavourful.
The vegetable onion with the white skin is much larger than the classic kitchen onion with the orange-coloured skin. It has a much milder and slightly sweet flavour

It is rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6 and C, as well as potassium, copper, magnesium, iron, folic acid, zinc and calcium.

Onions can be kept for months in a dark, dry and cool place, at best 8 - 10° C.
