Arola" snake cucumbers

Snake cucumbers originated in South Asia, probably in India. Today they are cultivated in the humid subtropics and tropics of Australia, Latin America and Africa.
There are no botanical or flavour differences between the snake cucumber and the salad cucumber. The snake cucumber is usually just a little longer than the usual cucumber.

They contain vitamins A, B, C, D and E as well as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulphur and chloride.

Cucumbers are best kept outside the fridge, preferably in a cool place at around 10° C. There they are still fresh after 5 days.
