Martinshof - Organic Farming Tradition Since 1986

The farm in the Saarland was founded as early as 1984 as a true organic pioneer. The founding couple, Dipl.Ing.int.agr. Gerhard and Monika Kempf, began with a dairy goat herd, a herd of suckler cows, vegetable cultivation, and arable farming. In 1986, the farm received Bioland certification.
Today, young farmer Martin Stoll manages the farm and its livestock operations. The Kempf family handles the processing and marketing of Martinshof products. They place great emphasis on the transparent processing of exclusively Bioland-certified goods and collaborate with many regional producers. On-site production with their own teams ensures a high level of reliability in terms of quality and freshness.
With approximately 100 employees, they operate the Bioland butcher shop, the Bioland cheese dairy, the “Biobus” delivery service, the “bio vom Bauernhof” online store, and two retail locations on the established farm in the Ostertal valley. These include a large natural foods store, “Martinshof Stadtladen,” in the heart of the capital city of Saarbrücken, and a smaller “Martinshof Hofladen” in , St. Wendel. Martinshof products can be found in many natural food stores, in some Globus and Edeka supermarkets, and—as the French brand “ ” (“ferme du bio”)—in organic stores throughout France.
