Cherry tomatoes

The cherry tomato has its origins in the Peruvian Andes.
For many tomato fans, it is now the number one alternative to the normal standard tomato because it can still concentrate the juicy, sweet and sour flavour of the original tomato in its small skin. This also applies to the nutrients.

They contain vitamins A, C and K, as well as potassium, iron, folic acid and calcium.

A just ripe tomato will stay fresh and tasty for one to two weeks if it is stored at around 12 to 15 degrees, i.e. in a cool place in the home or cellar. Refrigerator air makes them firm and bland.
