Building on the solid foundation of their friendship, Michael Kammerer and Rainer Weiß founded their joint business in 2002. As lovers of Mediterranean cuisine and the Italian language, they chose the name Il Cesto. The momentum of those early years has carried them forward. Even today, they still take pleasure in preparing delicious antipasti from the finest organic ingredients in their kitchen in Waldorfhäslach near Reutlingen. In doing so, the two always work with ingredients fresh daily, following the principles of an Italian homemaker.
