Info

Hand-skimmed fresh cheese made from Martinshof s own goat s milk.

The fresh milk is briefly heated in our cheese dairy, allowed to curdle overnight, and skimmed by hand into cotton bags the next day. After draining and cooling, the salted fresh cheese is poured into cake pans and weighted down. This allows the fresh cheese to lose its excess whey while remaining creamy and tender.
It is then cut into cake slices and vacuum-sealed. This keeps its wonderfully mild flavor for days to weeks.
It can be spread or sliced and tastes excellent as a sandwich spread, as a filling for dates or figs, baked au gratin with honey and thyme, as a pasta filling, or however else you like.

Due to our packaging, the cheese may have a slight purple sheen; this comes from the film and is not a quality defect

Ingredients: pasteurized goat s milk**, Atlantic sea salt, microbial rennet

Martinshof - A Tradition of Organic Farming Since 1986

The farm in the Saarland was founded as early as 1984 as a true pioneer in organic farming. The founders, Gerhard and Monika Kempf (Dipl.Ing.int.agr.), began with a dairy goat herd, a herd of suckler cows, vegetable farming, and crop production. In 1986, the farm received Bioland certification.
Today, young farmer Martin Stoll manages the farm and its livestock operations. The Kempf family handles the processing and marketing of Martinshof products. They place great emphasis on the transparent processing of exclusively Bioland-certified goods and collaborate with many regional producers. On-site production with their own teams ensures a high level of reliability in terms of quality and freshness.
With approximately 100 employees, they operate the Bioland butcher shop, the Bioland cheese dairy, the  Biobus  delivery service, the  bio vom Bauernhof  online store, and two retail locations on the established farm in the Ostertal valley. These include a large natural foods store,  Martinshof Stadtladen,  in the heart of the capital city of Saarbrücken, and a smaller  Martinshof Hofladen  in St. Wendel.  Martinshof products can be found in many natural food stores, in some Globus and Edeka supermarkets, and under the French brand name  ferme du bio  in organic stores throughout France.

Martinshof -  Biolandtradition seit 1986
