Die Äpfel fallen sofort durch ihre tiefrote Färbung auf, die sich schon früh vom Baum abzeichnet. Die Äpfel sind mittelgroß, rund und ausgesprochen wohlschmeckend. Ihr Geschmack unterscheidet sich kaum von dem der Apfelsorte ‘Jonagold’. Der Biss in einen ‘Jonaprince’ knackt richtig und ist ausgesprochen erfrischend. Die Äpfel sind sehr saftig und süß im Geschmack.
