The roots of Bauck GmbH date back to 1932. Eduard Bauck took over the Bauckhof farm in Klein Süstedt and converted it to biodynamic farming. In the years that followed, additional farms came into the Bauck family s possession through marriage and inheritance, and these were also converted in Amelinghausen in 1948 and in Stütensen in 1966.
The goal of the Bauck farms has always been to promote biodynamic farming practices. In 1969, the farms were therefore transferred from private ownership to the non-profit agricultural research association. As a result, the Bauck family and its employees were no longer landowners but were responsible for further developing the shared goal.
In 1969, members of the Bauck family and farmers from northern Germany founded Bauck KG to process and market a wide variety of Demeter products. The company was entered into the commercial register in 1970. The company s current managing director, Jan-Peter Bauck, joined the company in 1991.
Since 2000, Bauck GmbH has been headquartered in Rosche. That same year, the heart of production the grain mill for wheat, spelt, barley, and rye began operations. Later, the company invested in a second mill specializing in the production of gluten-free flour. In 2005, the first gluten-free product was launched. In 2020, a new, state-of-the-art flaking and fine-grinding mill for processing gluten-free raw materials primarily oats was put into operation.
Today, Bauck GmbH manufactures high-quality Demeter and organic products under the “Bauck Mühle brand. Many products are gluten-free, wheat-free, and vegan. The company s own solar power system supplies the buildings with green electricity. Recyclable packaging is also a key component of its environmentally friendly business practices.
Bauck GmbH sources most of the raw materials it needs from local farms in the region. Long-term contracts help prevent speculation involving Demeter grains. Furthermore, this arrangement creates a reliable framework for both parties, ensuring that organic and Demeter-certified grains can be grown regionally in a financially viable and sufficient manner. The stated goal is 100 percent organic farming.
Since 2022, Bauck GmbH has also been the official breakfast partner and official club partner of 1. FC Nürnberg. Bauck Mühle offers delicious food in organic and Demeter quality from its own food truck at Max-Morlock Stadium, at the café stand in the stadium s VIP lounge, and at Sportpark Valznerweiher. Together, the partners aim to inspire enthusiasm for more organic food and an ecologically sound diet.
