Olive wood grows very slowly and is therefore particularly hard and dense. As a result, the wood does not absorb odors, is highly resistant to cuts, and is resistant to acids, fats, and
bacteria. Items made of olive wood that are used infrequently should be treated at least once a month. This helps the wood retain its amber color and rich grain. It also protects the wood
from drying out, as dry indoor air could cause the products to crack or split.
We recommend following these simple care instructions:
Never put them in the dishwasher
Always wash by hand with a cloth or soft sponge and a little dish soap in lukewarm water (hot water can cause the olive wood to crack)
Do not let them drip dry; instead, wipe them dry immediately with a kitchen towel
After drying, please stand the boards upright do not lay them flat
Finally, be sure to carefully rub them down with a paper towel soaked in olive oil or sunflower oil
