Oranges

Oranges originated in China, where they were cultivated as early as 4,000 years ago. Today's orange is a cross between a mandarin and a pomeplmus and was brought to Europe by Arab traders in the 15th century. Today, they are mainly grown in countries such as Spain, Greece, Turkey, South Africa and Italy. Oranges taste juicy, sweet and refreshing.

They contain vitamins B and C, as well as potassium, calcium and folic acid.

Oranges do not tolerate cold temperatures. Therefore, they should not be stored in the refrigerator. They will keep for two to three weeks at room temperature.
