"Topaz" Apples

The Topaz was bred in the Czech Republic in 1984 and has been officially protected throughout the EU since 1998. It is a medium-sized apple, the result of a cross between the ‘Rubin’ and ‘Vanda’ varieties. The flesh is crisp and has a beautiful cream colour. The flavour of the Topaz is juicy and acidic and is described as ‘crisp and crunchy’.
Topaz is the first important scab-resistant variety in the German-speaking world. For this reason, the apple is particularly popular in organic farming.

It is rich in vitamin C, as well as potassium, folic acid, magnesium and calcium.

It can be stored for up to six months in a cool, dark place with slightly higher humidity. The fruit compartment of the fridge is best suited for household quantities. It will keep there for up to 40 days.
