Martinshof - Une tradition de l'agriculture biologique depuis 1986
Cette exploitation agricole de la Sarre a été fondée dès 1984, faisant d elle une véritable pionnière de l agriculture biologique. Le couple de
fondateurs , Gerhard et Monika Kempf, tous deux ingénieurs agronomes diplômés, a commencé par élever des chèvres laitières,
un troupeau de vaches allaitantes, et se lancer dans le maraîchage et la culture des champs. En 1986, l exploitation a obtenu la certification Bioland.
Aujourd hui, c est le jeune agriculteur Martin Stoll qui gère l exploitation agricole et l élevage. La famille Kempf s occupe de la transformation et de la commercialisation des produits Martinshof. Elle accorde une grande importance à la transparence de la transformation, qui porte exclusivement sur des produits certifiés Bioland, et collabore avec de nombreux producteurs régionaux. La production sur place, assurée par ses propres équipes, garantit une grande fiabilité en termes de qualité et de fraîcheur.

La production sur place, assurée par ses propres équipes, garantit une grande fiabilité en termes de qualité et de fraîcheur.
Avec une centaine de collaboratrices et collaborateurs, ils exploitent, au sein de la ferme historique située dans la vallée de l Ostertal, la
boucherie certifiée Bioland, la fromagerie certifiée Bioland, le service de livraison « Biobus », la boutique en ligne « bio vom Bauernhof », ainsi que deux points de vente. Il s agit d un
grand magasin d alimentation bio, le « Martinshof Stadtladen », situé au cœur de la capitale, Sarrebruck, et d un magasin plus petit, le « Martinshof Hofladen », situé à , à Saint-Wendel. On trouve les produits Martinshof dans de nombreux magasins d'alimentation bio, dans certains supermarchés Globus et Edeka, ainsi que sous la marque
française « ferme du bio » ( ) dans les magasins bio en France.
