Spelt alphabet noodles

The spelt alphabet pasta is made from the finest Demeter-certified spelt. At the Spielberger Mill, the grain is ground in several steps into a medium-light flour that still contains valuable components of the grain. The Type 812 flour is then handcrafted into alphabet pasta. Thanks to the spelt, these noodles have a delicate nutty flavor and are particularly well-suited as a soup topping. The charming letters are a true classic and bring enjoyment and fun to mealtime for young and old alike. The noodle packaging is made from 100% wood, a renewable resource. It can be fully disposed of with newspaper and is 100% recyclable. Through a long-standing partnership with Bergwaldprojekt e.V., Spielberger Mühle funds the planting of trees each year, as well as the care and preservation of existing forests. This gives something back to nature. Spelt has a delicate nutty flavor. With the rise of the organic movement, spelt was rediscovered as an unadulterated ancient grain. Until the Middle Ages, it was considered the most important bread grain. It was only with the intensification of agriculture and the increased use of synthetic fertilizers that the grain fell into obscurity. There was a very simple reason for this: unlike wheat, spelt hardly responds to nitrogen fertilizer with an increase in yield. In organic farming, however, the grain s positive qualities are highly valued. In addition to its delicate nutty flavor and better digestibility, spelt is distinguished by the fact that it thrives even in areas with higher precipitation and at higher elevations.
